Laboratory technician – Hamilton (and surrounds)

Dynamic Ag is a privately owned family business providing expert, independent agricultural advice and diagnostic services to farmers and service providers across Australia, with laboratories in Hamilton, Tatyoon and Mansfield.
The Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated laboratory technician to join our team in Hamilton VIC. The role will be required to work independently with minimal supervision and will involve processing and analysing biological livestock specimens using a microscope, liaising/communicating with customers and reporting results.
The successful applicant will demonstrate
- Tertiary qualifications in Science, Agriculture, Animal Science, or equivalent preferred but not essential
- Operational experience within a laboratory environment advantageous
- Microscopy skills desirable
- Familiarity/experience with Agricultural farming systems and animal health – in particular sheep and cattle
- Effective communication skills – written and verbal
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Highly organised with attention to detail, the ability to work to deadlines with excellent time management skills
- The ability to work outdoors (on occasions) conducting research trials on farms and in livestock handling facilities
- Computer Literacy – Microsoft Excel & Word (essential)
