We connect livestock producers with hay, grain and silage growers.

It’s simple: hay farmers are selling hay, and farmers need to buy. We make the process easy for both sellers and farmers.

The seller names the price, advertises the products and an email is sent to buyers.  Sellers and buyers may negotiate on price – it’s up to you!

Sellers name their price

We have no influence in setting the selling price, and we are not working to increase the price received for the seller. And, we receive a flat per tonne payment rate, so there is no incentive for us to negotiate higher sale prices.

Individual sellers name their price and it is up to them to do their due diligence when setting the price of their product.

The advertised price set by the seller is valid for one week. After a week, the seller has the opportunity to edit their listing, adjust the price, or leave it unchanged. Updates occur weekly on Thursdays and the email is distributed on Fridays.

How does it work if I want to sell?

Selling your fodder through Dynamic Ag is simple and easy. Email us the following information:

• your product
• how many tonnes you have for sale
• location (town)
• FeedTest results
• size and weight of the bales
• cost per tonne on farm (excluding GST and freight)
• payment terms

If you have trucks available for cartage, you could also include a quote which includes delivery.

No listing charges for existing clients

There is no cost advertise your fodder with Dynamic Hay and Grain if you are already a client (LTEM member, BWBL member or consultancy client). We charge $4.50 per tonne + GST, which we will invoice you after you have been paid by the buyer.

If you are not an existing client of Dynamic Ag, you will be invoiced a one off fee of $75 + GST to advertise your products. Then, your product will be advertised until sold or removed from sale.

Weekly email to interested buyers

Once your fodder is approved for sale, you will be added to our weekly email. More than one thousand interested buyers across Victoria and South Australia are on the distribution list.

Due to Steve’s extensive connections across both states the distribution list includes reputable and reliable buyers who have personally done business with Dynamic Ag.

If a buyer is interested, we will put them in touch with you so you can negotiate the terms of sale.

How does it work if I want to buy?

Simply contact us to request to join our mailing list. If you’re approved, you will receive a weekly email showcasing the latest products on sale from our vendors.

When you find fodder that interests you, contact Steve or Bec at Dynamic Ag and we will put you in touch with the seller to ask questions. If you’re still interested you can negotiate the terms of sale with the seller.

What if there’s a dispute?

Because we only connect reputable buyers and sellers, a dispute is unlikely. However, this may be the case from time to time.

The seller retains the right to withdraw selling the product if the buyer cannot guarantee prompt payment or provide an upfront payment. Sellers may require an upfront or complete payment before shipment to ensure peace of mind.

In the case of a a dispute, your first step should be discussing it with the buyer or seller. If that fails to resolve the situation, contact us and we will help everyone agree to a beneficial outcome.

Hay corers available for loan

Both buyers and sellers can arrange to borrow our hay corers. There is no charge for this service.

Quality Feed Testing

Dynamic Hay & Grain uses the independent FeedTest lab in Werribee for quality analysis.

FeedTest is an established business with extensive calibrations to provide accurate results. FeedTest offer a free postage service for convenience. You receive your results within three days of the lab receiving your sample. We can provide collecting kits including collecting bags, pre-filled submission forms and postage bags. The price of a FeedTest is $64.50 including GST.
